You Are More Than One Thing!- Let The Other Sides Of You Shine And Find Your Balance

Mom, Wife, Husband, Father, Employee, CEO, Student, Teacher, Doctor, Blogger....Hypnotist :) - We all live under some kind of label and while feeling defined can give you pride and focus, it's important to make time for other parts of you. You are so many things!

I have an email account that I use for work and its format is "hypnosis@*****.com". A friend of mine said, "you know, you're more than just a hypnotist. Maybe you should use "Kate@******.com" instead. It was just an offhand remark but it really stuck with me. Because I AM more than hypnotist. I'm a professional, a parent, a small business owner, a writer, a subconscious mind expert, and a gummy bear enthusiast among other things. And all of those things fuel my business (especially the gummy bears). All of those things make me better at what I do. So yeah! I think I will change that email. And that got me thinking about how our self-imposed labels can be limiting and leave us feeling unbalanced and incomplete.

If you are a teacher, do you make time to learn new things? To be taught? As a mom, do you also make it a priority to be cared for?

What are your passions? It's easy to push your hobbies to the side in favor of your main priorities. But in denying yourself that time to play, are you really bringing your best to your work, family, and friends?

Take some time to think about the other sides of yourself. Whether that's the reader, the runner, the painter, the amateur stand up comic, or the karaoke star, make time for the things that make you happy.
